About Me
Maryah (Coffey) Abosso, was born and raised in Newport RI. Her family can trace their roots back on Aquidneck Island prior to the Revolutionary War. Her love of the island, and its unique history runs deep. Her aunt Natalie Nicholson was a big part of the Middletown Historical society, and the caretaker of Paradise school for many years. Her father Nick, and uncle Neill Coffey were both local entrepreneurs, owning various gas stations (Coffey’s Texaco) C&H Oil, and Call a Cab throughout the years. After graduating from Rogers High School, Maryah worked for AAA Northeast for 10 years building her leadership, sales and business skills. She worked in their headquarters often a top producer in travel sales and eventually relocated to the Narragansett branch, successfully building relationships with the community while helping run branch operations, sales, and DMV requests. While building her career she completed her degree in business while raising her children with her husband who is a chef at a local Middletown establishment.
Her career then led her to office management for Doug Smyth. Maryah has been the primary administrator for both Smyth Painting Company, and Cabinet Revival since 2017. When Doug Smyth, his wife Alyse Antone Smyth Esq. Broker, and business partner Asa Montgomery purchased Castle Keep, Maryah took her career a step further by obtaining her real estate license, with the goal to grow with the Castle Keep brand.
Maryah is often noted for her calm demeanor and her ability to navigate negotiations with effective results. Beyond living on the island, Maryah has also resided in Narragansett, North Kingstown and Warwick. She is familiar with many neighborhoods beyond beautiful Aquidneck Island is ready to help both buyers and sellers start their next chapter by securing the best transaction possible for her clients
